During the month of May, the Goshen County Victim Assistance Office provided services to 150 total victims with 31 new cases, 36 new victims, and 114 victims in ongoing cases. These services were provided through 28 Personal Contacts, 147 Written Contacts, 64 Phone Contacts, 35 Court Escorts, 53 Research and Restitution situations. Of the total new and ongoing cases worked in May, 34 cases were investigated by the Torrington Police Department, 26 cases by the Goshen County Sheriff’s Office.
In order to accomplish this the Goshen County Victim Assistance Staff and Volunteers worked a total of 436 hours.
