Welcome to the Goshen Department of Information Technology
Through the Goshen Wide Area Network Information Technology connects nearly 30 buildings and provides a combination of technical support, telephone and internet services, and training for more than 40 departments with over 200 employees in governmental agencies within Goshen County including:

- Goshen County Sheriff Department and Detention Center
- City of Torrington departments
- Torrington Police Department
- Torrington Emergency Medical Services
- Torrington Volunteer Fire Department
- Lingle Police Department
- Ft. Laramie Police Department

Mission Statement
Information Technology will provide the highest quality technology-based services, in the most cost-effective manner, to facilitate the mission of the governmental bodies of the County of Goshen as it pertains to effective service of the citizens of the County’s communities.
To meet this mission we will:
- Establish systems, processes, and solutions based on best practices and industry standards
- Develop, enhance, and manage the enterprise networks to provide high speed, transparent, and highly functional, reliable connectivity among all information resources
- Promote and facilitate the effective integration of technology into the basic mission of the governments of the County of Goshen through planning, programming, training, consulting, and other support activities
- Facilitate the collection, storage, security and integrity of electronic data while ensuring appropriate access
- Promote new uses of information technology throughout the County through the support of exploratory and innovative applications
- Provide leadership and guidance for effective strategic and tactical planning in the use of technology for all governmental bodies within the County of Goshen
- Distribute technological resources for the use of all governmental bodies within the County of Goshen
- Provide timely, effective, and professional technical assistance to end-users and service providers as to maximize the effectiveness of the use of technological systems
- Provide accurate accounting and up to date documentation of technological resources
