Children’s Special Health Care Services
This program provides payment for services for eligible high-risk pregnant women, newborns, and children with special health care needs. The purpose is to identify clients, assure diagnosis and treatment and provide tracking and care co-ordination using a family centered, community based approach. Clients must be financially eligible and have a qualifying medical diagnosis.
The Public Health administers the State program including intake and case management of children with special health needs, including genetics.
