Welcome Home Visits

Public Health Nurses make a home visit to parents of newborns to provide information regarding growth and development, breast and formula feeding, safety, immunizations, availability of community resources and general health guidance. The nurse will weigh the baby and answer any baby care questions the new parents may have.

Two lactation counselors are on staff at the Public Health Office to help with breastfeeding.
