License Plate Applications

Specialty Plates

WARNING-THESE PLATES WILL ONLY BE VALID UNTIL YOUR PLATES EXPIRE IN 2025.  IN 2025 YOU WILL HAVE TO REAPPLY FOR THE NEW PLATE DESIGN AND PAY THE FEES AGAIN.

The following distinctive plates are available to qualified applicants:

     • Prisoner of War                • National Guard

     • Pearl Harbor Survivor       • Veteran & Disabled Veteran

     • Purple Heart Recipient     • EMT & Firefighter

     • Gold Star Plates                • Tribal Plates (Arapahoe & Shoshone)

     • Wildlife Conservation       • Alumni & Prestige Plates

                • Tribal Plates (Arapahoe & Shoshone)

All of the above plates are available as Embossed plates as well for an additional $50.00 fee.

Online ordering – Order your plates online!

Applications must be submitted to the County Treasurer’s Office where eligibility is determined. Approved applications will be forwarded to the Department of Transportation who will assign plate numbers and send plates to the County Treasurer’s Office. Allow four to six weeks for processing.

Prestige and Amateur Radio Plates

Prestige and radio amateur plates are $30.00 per set. Applications are available at the County Treasurer’s Office. Completed applications along with the fees must be submitted to:

Handicapped Plates

Applications for handicapped plates are available at the County Treasurer’s Office. The application must be completed, signed by applicant’s physician and submitted to the Torrington or Lusk office. The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will determine eligibility for a license plate or placard. The County Treasurer’s Office will issue plates and registration upon approval from WYDOT.
